Chapter 3 - October

I closed my eyes and imagined a giant flying saucer with bright lights landing in front of the dorm in a shroud of mystical smoke. The aircraft door opened, and a naked gray alien walked out with big black eyes, a bulbous head, and long, skinny arms and legs. The alien stood there for a moment and extended its arms towards me like some invisible, unrelenting, magnetic force that sucked me in. My eyes closed, and I resumed my trip on the alien ship. We skyrocketed high into the black abyss, hitting light speed through the Universe until we landed on a giant orange moon with thousands of glass dome-shaped pods that glowed a neon-colored green. My alien carried me on his shoulders through the UFO hatch and down the ramp to the deafening applause of thousands of other aliens assembled to greet me. As we walked down the ramp, I started getting bigger, and the alien started shrinking when we reached the end. It looked like I was floating above the ground while the alien still carried me on his shoulders. He lifted me and placed me on the floor, where I turned around to face the thousands of aliens along the parade route when I noticed that they’d all melted and created a giant 1,000-foot title wave surging towards me with a thunderous roar. I started running in the opposite direction, faster and faster, until I ran off the edge of a cliff and fell into the vast empty blackness, where I drifted for a thousand years before I slammed into an invisible glass wall with a single gold-plated door. I opened it and walked down an ice crystal staircase with 50,000 steps into a cavernous white room with an oval stage in the middle illuminated by a single spotlight shining on John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John dressed in black leather singing, “You’re the One that I Want.”
